Jazz Bands
There are three Jazz Bands, led by Professor Gary Langford, that meet and perform regularly on the University campus. The ensembles are open to all University students and perform jazz standards through contemporary jazz compositions.
Each year the Jazz Band performs with legendary jazz artists and clinicians. These have included Bill Watrous, Bobby Shew, Louie Bellison, Ernie Watts, and many others. The band has recorded three CDs including "Montreux Bound," recorded just before their performance at the 1998 Montreal Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
